Windham County is full of talented people who are already making a big difference in our community and the world. Our biggest and most valuable asset is our citizens. We are a community of people with many common values. Doing the right thing and service to our communities are just two of the reasons we call Windham County, home. Having lived in Dover, Newfane and Brattleboro, I understand the challenges that different communities face in Windham County. We are a county of diverse interests. One thing that we do have in common is the need for jobs, commerce and opportunity. For many of us, it comes down to peace of mind. This campaign is about getting people working again.

My Campaign Is About Issues
My campaign is not about Democrats and Republicans – it is about issues.
We need to address the challenges that face us in Windham County with practical common sense solutions – not partisan agendas.
My campaign priorities are the same ones that confront us in Southeast Vermont. I will meet our urgent issues head-on.
Vermont Yankee: I support a safe and reliable operating nuclear plant in Vernon. The February vote in the Senate to withhold a Certificate of Public Good simply jumped the gun. It was an example of knee-jerk legislation with a side order of gubernatorial politics. Windham County deserves better representation than that!
Health Care Reform: I support universal access to health care and the goals of Act 128. We have to understand that the big savings in health care reform come from improving efficiencies in the delivery of health care services. Let’s settle the funding model so we can get to the tough work of health care reform.
School Funding: Act 60 is broken – and after ten years, is anybody surprised? We have to revisit the tenants of the Brigham Decision; see where we went wrong and fix it.
Jobs: Windham County has great assets! Let’s identify and leverage them! I am pro-business and will be a tireless advocate for commerce and jobs in our county.
Agriculture: I support local and value-added agriculture. This is consistent with many of our values. Let’s keep this going!
Broadband: I support expansion of high speed internet as a necessary service and in the public interest.
